Serving Others

The Joy Network Programs

Our programs help us create a world where the generation gap between the youth and the elderly can be closed by a mutual love of reading, positive communication, and wisdom mentorship.

The Letters to Grandma Project gives students the chance to design, write, and deliver (if possible) cards to the elderly in senior care facilities. If you're a school or facility, click on the link above and let us know how we can serve you.

Our virtual/distance reading program allows a student reader to engage in storytelling with a senior citizen. To learn more about this program, click on the link above and let us know how we can serve you.

ESL for Families

In partnership with The Write Agent, our ESL for Families Program brings family units together to study English as a unit. This encourages at home group study and strengthens parent/child communication at home.

Our Positive Action Literacy Service allows our volunteers to serve students who are struggling readers whether they are native speakers or new to the United States. To learn more, click on the link above to let us know how we can serve you.

Wisdom Words (Coming Soon)

This program asks students to find an elderly loved one, learn about them and write a memoir essay. Students learn to engage on a deep personal level with a grandparent or elderly family member, guardian, or friend.

Young Writers Workshop (Returning Soon)

Our YWW takes place during the summer when we teach interested students creative writing skills.
